ART MEETS MARINE ECOLOGY
Kinmen Island School in bustling Xinhu Fishing Port has turned an abandoned fish processing facility into a holistic maritime education hub. Through an innovative spatial layout, the venue integrates augmented reality navigation, enriching learning with immersive gaming, and bringing marine education to life beyond the conventional classroom. Working with the local community, the school helps artisans to develop experiential programs and visitation courses, which allow tourists and the young interested in Kinmen's fishing industry and marine culture to engage in three-dimensional experiences. Their groundbreaking Island Residency Laboratory fosters a symbiosis between humans and the marine realm.
