EMBRACING NATURE
This resort on Shanghai's Chongming Island, surrounded by water, and forests, redefines luxury with its blend of local culture, craftsmanship, and eco-friendly aesthetics. Its gardens require little maintenance, and the two historical houses were protected by Chongming's strict regulations, but the original two-storey building has become three. The sun shines through the transparent roof of the central stairwell, and the former tool house is now a multifunctional hub with a brick fireplace under a bamboo ceiling.
