DFA Design for Asia Awards 2023 l Gold Award l Spatial Design l Culture & Public Space
Commissioned to revitalize a declining rice-farming community near Incheon, the architectural team built intersecting concrete blocks resembling woven winnowing baskets. Glass walls, rock gardens, and rice straw pattern ceilings blend indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an “Instagrammable” destination promoting Korean countryside, nature, and architecture.
