A WINTER FORTRESS
This home in a region where there is heavy snow was designed for a doctor and his family, and the massive concrete facade uses exterior insulation to ensure a comfortable temperature inside, even in mid-winter. The brise-soleil and insulated wooden window frames are suitable for the cold, and, on the first floor, the open kitchen faces an impressive living room with a double-height ceiling, and low windows that frame the rock garden while blocking the neighbours’ view.
