MINIMAL SERENITY

Situated on a national historical site, this public library commemorates World War II. The main facade faces the mass grave and coastal contour, and six sculptures representing the silence of the victims in World War II  bow solemnly at an angle of 15°along the corridor. By keeping to the purest form, the tranquil atmosphere of the interior architecture reflects nature as the atrium links the ground floor to the second with a pyramid-like, walk-through staircase, whose steps are of different heights, requiring visitors to adjust their pace in appreciation.
