Located in a famous tourist water village with a strong Lingnan heritage, Lantern Art Space celebrates Zen Buddhist culture, the local lifestyle, and internationally renowned Shunde cuisine. The art space, made by renovating two vacant houses and a riverside garden, accommodates the growing demands of tourism and rural revitalisation, and introduces contemporary art and premium hotel facilities in the historical town. The total area of the project is 4,912 square metres and includes restoring existing buildings to create a series of art galleries, 29 boutique hotel rooms, three special dining rooms, and an outdoor garden with Lingnan characteristics, while retaining and enhancing the existing ecological river landscape.
